Six small rituals.
One long-lasting piece.
We promise six months without tarnish. With these habits, you’ll get years. Read along, or let the studio show you — section by section.
Give it a home.
Every SPRI piece arrives in its own soft pouch. That pouch isn’t packaging — it’s the first defense against scratches, dust, and air-borne tarnish. Keep pieces separated. Never thrown together in a jewellery box. Soft cotton works just as well if you’ve lost the original.
A five-second habit.Once a week. Gently.
A soft microfiber cloth. No water. No chemicals. No toothpaste, no baking soda, no silver polish — those will strip the anti-tarnish coating. A gentle wipe in slow circles is the only ritual your piece ever needs. Treat it like a fingerprint on a camera lens.
Sixty seconds.Water first. Jewellery second.
Showers, swimming, dishwashing, hand washing — take it off first. Anti-tarnish does not mean waterproof. Chlorine, soap residue, and prolonged moisture are the fastest way to dull the finish. The five seconds you spend removing a ring will save you six months of wear.
Five seconds. Before the tap.Spray first. Wait sixty.
Always perfume and lotion before jewellery — and wait a full minute for them to settle. The alcohols in fragrance and the oils in lotion are the single most common reason pieces dull early. This is the one rule we plead with every customer to follow.
One minute of patience.Sweat is the enemy.
Hot yoga, weight training, long runs — leave the jewellery at home. Sweat is acidic; friction from straps and equipment scratches the finish. Keep a small pouch in your gym bag if you want to wear it before and after, but never during.
Ten seconds at the gate.If it dulls, we hear you.
Hold your piece up to a window every six months. Rotate it slowly in the light. If you see any tarnish, write to us. Our six-month anti-tarnish guarantee isn’t fine print — it’s a real promise. No questions, no forms. Send a photo to sprijewels@gmail.com and we will handle it.
A glance. Twice a year.
